Why do you hate them?

You've touched upon 4 very interesting members here. First it's indeed sad to see Gocchin leave H!P and just when you were liking her too. Arguably no member in H!P's history has had more of an impact than Gocchin. Of course timing had a part in that but it's pretty undeniable how much she grew the fan base when "Love Machine" was released. I totally agree on the vocal aspect as well. Gocchin's vocals are among the very best in H!P along with Ayaya for sure. I'd put Nacchi in there as well as her vocal control and character also stand out.

I personally don't get the Aichan bashing that's been going on and have actually only heard about it second hand as I'm avoiding it altogether. It simply makes no sense to me. She may not have that natural leadership gene in her but no member in H!P is more professional than Aichan. She teaches and helps new members as we've all seen in past footage when gen. 6 first joined and onto Kohachan as well. She wasn't the leader back then but she can do the job and is doing just fine. :)

Heheh it's funny that you mention Risakochan's teeth. Ah I have to admit I was overjoyed when she got if fixed. Not in a shallow way but her wonderful smile deserves to look its best. I'm glad that you had the opportunity to watch older footage of Risakochan in concert. "Semi" and "Bye Bye mata ne" are two good examples of Risakochan overpowering the others. In older concert footage you can actually hear her over everyone else and I always loved her undaunted effort! While her vocals may not have been the best in the past Risakochan really pushed herself! And I love the way she sounds now even though some others may not.

Ah Kohachan is the only member that I've seen so many fans on opposite sides of the spectrum. No middle ground...either love or hate (dislike). Her voice while not the best has improved and may just be an acquired taste of sorts. Another member that always gives her best and I love that about her. I'm happy to hear that she's won you over and maybe there's hope for more changes in opinion out there on the "miraculous" one. She's indeed a ball of energy and adds a much needed persona to Momusu as do all of the members. I think the variety of their personalities is what makes them so endearing and special as a collective group. Thanks for your thoughts. :)

Thank you very much for your comment. :)

By the way, Nacchi is also one of them who I've just recently started to love. Before I didn't notice her much, but then I heard her new single and I absolutely LOVE it! Iki wo Kasanemashou is such a beautiful song that I can't really describe it. She definetely deserves her place by Gottsuan's and Ayaya's side.

In Risako's case we also have to remember how young she is, as, while she has already improved a lot, I'm sure she will improve a whole lot more. If we listen to Nono's or Aibon's voice in their earlier singles in Morning Musume or even in their auduition, they sound quite squeaky. But I'm a huge fan of W although it didn't even exist anymoe when I became to konw it, and I think they really sound quite different in song like Samidare Koi no Uta. Especially Nono sounds so very good in songs of W than she did when she was younger, and I'm sure that Risako will sing woderfully when she's 16 or something.

And when people say that Kohachan is not the ace Tsunku thought she will be, I had to disagree even when I still didn't like her. Whatever paople may say about her she managed to start a succesful solo career and sell more than Momusu. So she really did do something as Tsunku knew when he chosed her. And if she's something, that's indeed "a ball of energy". :)

Your words on Gocchin and Aichan could have been mine, I agree with all you said. In my case, when I looked up Gocchin's name on YouTube to check her solo career and saw SOME BOYS! TOUCH, I thought that was enough to give up on her. It all changed when I saw her singing Yaruki! It's Easy in one H!P concert. And about Aichan, I can understand why people consider her personality boring. She's not hyper, she's not giving her life to appear on the camera and she's not putting on any kind of idol persona. She's normal. Because of that, she doesn't get much attention on programs, the hosts always go for the others. Her appearance on Matthew's Best Hit TV and the tettekete Utaban episode are still some of my favorites though. I'd like to know what all the people who say how she's a bad leader actually have to prove that, without comparing her to Yossie or anyone else. How much of the leader's actions do we actually get to see? They're supposedly guiding the other members, but that's mostly backstage stuff. And in performances itself, Aichan has been front and center for a long time already, no one can complain of her competence in that.

But I still haven't warmed up to Koharu. That's certainly taking a while longer than I expected. Besides putting Balalaika in my head for a week, which I'm still not sure if was a good or bad thing, she hasn't done much to me. Neither has Aika.

I love Nono in Southpaw <3

It's funny; I actually find SOME BOYS! TOUCH a very catchy song even though it's completely opposite to the kind of songs I usually like. But the PV... well... Let's say that it doesn't appeal to me a lot but makes me a little sad.

I totally agree with you're comment on Aichan. Everything you said is true.
I don't consider myself or any of us fans a good person to judge the leaders because as you said: we don't propably, after all, see alot of their actions. And the personality. Well, it's a matter of taste and people may think what they want, but I personally like normal people. :)

And I'm just sure you're time with Kohachan will come. :) Sooner or later.
